My name is Ruth Seyffert. I live in Ontario, Canada and I have been reborning for approximately one year. I am a nurse in the Long Term Care Facility, and I enjoy many hobbies including knitting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reborning and most recently, sculpting dolls with polymer clay.

|
For the most part, I sell my dolls in my local community and do custom orders, and I share my dolls on my website. Recently, I began teaching a beginner's reborning class along with my daughter. We do this monthly in Stratford, Ontario, Canada and you can get more information by contacting me directly.

I was fortunate enough to be included in the May/June issue of Lifelike Dolls magazine with the following submission...
My daughter, Sheri, showed me her first doll and asked if I would like to make one for myself. That is like eating one potato chip! One doll and you’re hooked.
Each doll that I make is an effort to make it better than the last one, to try new techniques, to get the most realistic look. Making reborn dolls is so much more than painting the doll. Rooting the hair to get the effect that I want is something that I have to master yet. Once the doll is finished being put together, there is the fun of finding or making the right clothing for him/her.
Photography is the next thing to learn as the doll can be the best ever but if the pictures are not well done then no one sees the great job. I guess that is what I like about doing reborn dolls, there is constant change. You are never finished learning all there is to know and each doll is a new canvas to work on and learn and it is not boring.
My granddaughter, eleven year old Katrina, wanted a reborn doll so I suggested she learn to make her own. She liked that idea, so for her birthday I gave her a doll kit and we have been working one day a week on creating her doll. It has taken about seven weeks for us to do, working for a couple of hours a week. I think she is very proud of her doll.

~~RETURN POLICY~~
If you are not completely satisfied with my workmanship and representation of your reborn baby purchase, I will refund your money, less the shipping fees, upon receiving the doll back in the same condition that I sent it. This includes all original packaging and the doll must be wrapped in the same secure way in which it arrived to you. Shipping costs and insurance (required) are the responsibility of the buyer, and the doll must be shipped back via the same method that it was shipped to you.
I must hear from you within 24 hours of you receiving the doll in order to qualify for a refund.

My goal is to create beautiful reborn babies that you can love and cherish forever. I strive to give the most accurate description possible, and my pictures are taken in natural light without retouching. I cannot be responsible for how different monitors depict colour.
Thank you for visiting!
